Do any of you use the "Deliveries" application? i just installed the trial version from the MacAppstore, it adds a right item to the finder called "Add to deliveries" that shows up whenver you right click any file on the mac such as in finder, is there a way to delete this custom button that this app added into my finder? is this some sort of a background extension running by this application?

Not tried 'Deliveries', but I've been using 'Parcel' for over a year to do the same job, and I can't see any 'right click' action from it.

However, you can edit what shows up in the actions menu by going to Preferences>Extensions>All (or Share Menu)>Deliveries and seeing what is ticked.

This is what mine shows for Parcel (and others)...

Thank you, I’ll have to look into that when I get home later. The free version of Parcel only allows 3 deliveries at a time right? What I’m unclear about when it comes to Parcel is this: (Is it 3 ACTIVE package Tracking at ONCE that is limited to 3 packages or the ability of adding more than 3 deliveries (whether present active deliveries or past delivered packages) within the app?) i rarely have more than one package shipped to me at any given time so I don’t need the ability of tracking more than 3 packages all at once but I’d like to see a history of all my shipments within the app from the past year etc

Yes, I believe the free version is limited to 3 ACTIVE trackers, but I've only ever had 2 at once. It also shows my history or previous packages (i.e. more than 3).

If that’s the case then I might just use Parcel instead of deliveries. I love the UI of deliveries but don’t want to pay for it(I own the app on iPhone and thought it would be nice on the Mac as well)

I wonder if Parcel and Deliveries contact the company server/s in order to retrieve package information on any given package or does it DIRECTLY contact UPS/FedEx and has nothing to do with the developer’s servers..

I use Deliveries across all my Macs and iOS devices. Just love it.
Easy to import numbers using the Share feature. iCloud syncs the items.

Well worth it. I highly recommend it.
I love it on my iPhone as well and I am grandfather into their new subscription based model (meaning I’m still able to add new orders etc without a subscription) but I never purchased the MacOS version of the app, Was it a separate additional app to purchase for MacOS or does the iOS/iPad version give access to the MacOS version?(or did they charge another 5$ for the Mac version when it was available?)

My opinion as well.
Did it need to be purchased on the Mac as well for 5$ when it was available or do all users that own the iOS version can download the macos version an do "Restore purchases"?

Looks as if I paid ~$5.00 for each.

It is annoyingly difficult to search Apples' purchasing history. There is no way to search for a specific application over all time ranges. In iTunes (Mohave) you can't even search by app name when you have selected a year. Ended up calling Apple support to figure out how much I paid.

Apple could learn a lot by looking at how Amazon handles purchase history.

I guess I’m out of luck then as I didn’t purchase Deliveries for Mac so I won’t be grandfathered in. There is another app called Parce but it’s nowhere near as pretty as Deliveries

I bought the iOS app some time ago and AFAIK never bought it on macOS. I just downloaded it from the Mac App Store and it works normally.

Have you actually tried the Mac app? It might work with the account already existing for the iOS version.

I installed it on my Mac and it was as if I never purchased it before and when I launched it, it went straight to their horrible new subscription model with no grandfathering of any sort and I can’t add any packages..

Other than the one member above (EmotionalSnow), did anyone else that purchased the iOS Deliveries app got the MacOS app for free or was the MacOS app a SEPARATE purchase(When their app was $5 before they switched to their new subscription model where the app is now Free) in addition to the iOS app?

I use Deliveries. I don't mind paying the subscription. App is worth the money. Subscription is good across all devices. One time charge per year.

Easy to import numbers using the Share feature. iCloud syncs the items.
Deliveries also has its own sync server in addition to iCloud, which is super useful if you want to share data with someone else. In our household my wife and I both have it installed so we can both add packages.

I just received a reply from junecloud:

“The Mac app was previously sold separately, but the subscription is universal between devices. Are you logged into the same Apple ID on both your phone and Mac?”

I am fine with the cloud sync not being functional as that is a feature that is only available with the subscription.
With that being said, Will I also be able to add new packages and track packages on my Mac without continuing with the subscription model just like I’ll be able to continuing adding and tracking new packages on my iPhone when the subscription ends as the grandfathered message I received on my iPhone when I initially updated to the latest version of deliveries that introduced this new subscription model?

So i have Deliveries installed on my Mac, i went to that exact extensions menu in system preferences and made sure everything related to deliveries is unchecked but there is still an “Add to Deliveries” button whenever I right click an item on any given file or document in finder (such as if I right click a txt document in the downloads folder etc),
Is the Add to Deliveries Button still there for you as well when all the items relating to Deliveries under the extensions system preferences panel are disabled?

If I uncheck this item that goes away in Finder, but it also removes it if you try to add a Delivery from say Amazon, so I checked it back on.

I’ll have to look at that menu when I get home but I’m pretty sure I unchecked that as well and Add to Deliveries was still in the right click menu, do I need to restart the Mac to see if it went away or would it go away immediately?
I only want to add deliveries myself by opening the Deliveries app and manually entering a given tracking number myself for the app to track, I even disabled notifications for it as I don’t need that, I only want to check status or a delivery when I want to by opening the Deliveries app(“, don’t need that Add to Deliveries button in the finder in the right click menu

I agree!! I’ve used Deliveries across all Apple devices for years. I’m not saying I’ve ordered stuff just to watch the progress on Deliveries. I’m not denying I’ve done that, either.
