I apologize if this has been asked a million times, but I did not see it posted recently.

When the Apple Stores closed today to setup for the iPhone release, I was wondering if they were putting actual phones out for people to play with (like with the Macs and iPods) or if we will have to wait on these.

I don't plan on buying an iPhone for a couple of months, but I would REALLY like to get my hands on one to try out. Any idea?

Yes I think all AT&T stores have 2 on display. When I bought mine I went straight to the display and started messing with it.

I would imagine that's what's happening from 2pm to 6pm.

Just got my first phone call from an iPhone at 4:44pm PDT. Sounds great, as far as I can tell on my soon-to-be-stuffed-in-a-drawer RAZR.

edit: just a MR tidbit - it was a 408 Area Code, and the store is in LA CA.

Yes, I was just at mine, there were 8 on display and 2 on the acessories tables.

THEY ARE SO COOL!
