Maybe a stupid ridiculous question. But do carrier settings updates effect your jailbreak in anyway? AT&T has released a carrier update for people with iPhone 4S/5 running iOS 6.1 and higher.

Every time I connect my iPhone to my mac with iTunes open I always get a prompt asking me if I want to download and update with the new carrier settings.
Also, from this article it seems you are able to do the carrier settings update through the phone as well. Would that effect the jailbreak differently then if you were to update it through iTunes?
