Do different color/graphic wallpapers use more battery on MacBooks?

I remember before that different color or graphic wallpapers would drain your laptops battery faster then if using something dark and simple. Is that still the case in modern MacBooks?

Notebook computer backgrounds of your mistress will cause greater instability than backgrounds of your wife.

Doesn't make much sense for LCDs. This is true for OLEDs, but Macs don't have those.
