Who knows? If you have no working phone right now you are probably considering a purchase now.

If you can wait you might wait. Rumours on what’s coming are widely available on this site.

Let us know when you made up your mind.

I probably wouldn't wait. There's always something new coming. Typically, as soon as one phone comes out, they start threads about what will be on the next one.

If you get an 11 pro now, you'll have 8 months' use of a much improved device that you won't have if you hold out for the 12.

Get the 11 Pro. My Max is awesome, best phone with by far the best [smartphone] battery for as far back as i remember.

If you decide you want it when it comes out, wait a few months and pick one up on ebay. I paid £969gbp for my 512gb max.

Particularly if you aren't prone to upgrading every single year, I'd say sit it out and wait for the 12, and you'll hopefully get an overall better phone that should be capable of 5G.

I saved the money for an iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max, then decided I simply wasn't blown away by it. (Currently got a XS). The money is currently put to the side in readiness for an upgrade later this year. :)

iPhone upgrade program. If you like the new iPhone in the fall pay to upgrade early. If not keep paying and eventually own the 11 Pro.

Did you get a max on eBay? How did you decide which seller to trust?!

If you have the upgrade itch, scratch it now. The next iPhone is Still 7 months away.

Yeah ebay. Just go off feedback, pay with paypal and you're covered if you dont get it.
It’s more the fear that there is something wrong with the device rather than not receiving it. DIY repairs, not looked after etc. I’m always so suspicious when I see ‘brand new’ pro max 256gb for £1-1.1k on eBay. Erm, it’s £1.3k from Apple so why is a ‘new’ phone suddenly 200-300 cheaper? Suspicious.

I normally buy them a 3-6 month old so there's still Apple warranty to run. You need tp put some work in with eBay, once i decide i want something i'll search by 'newly listed, buy it now' a couple of times a day for usually a couple of weeks before i see a bargain. Its normally someone not done their research on the values or someone in a rush for the cash.

Thanks, I’ll give this approach a try. I am thinking of getting the 11PM on eBay for, say, £1,000-£1,050 and hanging onto it until November time when I will decide about an upgrade to a 12. I figure that if I can resell for around £700 I haven’t lost a great deal over the next 8-9 months. Agreed it isn’t financially astute but it’s a one off as I’ll be keeping a 12 for a good 2-3 years so it’s literally just a tactic to get the 11PM I want now and allow my wife to have my XR to replace her withering 6. If she didn’t need one I wouldn’t bother and would happily wait until October and just get a 12.
