Located right outside of New Orleans, LA. I really don't have much to complain about AT&T. I usually turn off WiFi because my 3G is actually faster! See for yourself!

I regularly get speeds like yours. Unless you're in Manhattan or San Francisco, I would say those are good but not atypical speeds...depending on time of day.

As for your WiFi, it is abysmal. I regularly get 13 Mbps downstream and 4 up.

To be honest i get like 7mbps download off of wifi but download speeds off my computer are never that fast. I average 700 kbps lol so i dont know if those speedtests are accurate.

6.18 Mbps is my highest here in Ontario, Canada. :) Don't have that screen shot anymore since I got my replacement iPhone, but here's one of a 6.06 Mbps:

My best speeds here in Canada on the Rogers Network are:

5.55 Mbps download
0.27 Mbps upload

I have been very impressed with the speed of the Rogers network everywhere I have been.

Well, you get what you pay for. My guess is you've got the 756 kbps Verizon DSL package. In your case the limiting factor is not your WiFi, but your cheap Internet plan.

I actually pay for 3mps.... Something I obviously don't get. I have been told there is nothing I can really do. I have had service people come out who all agree I am getting jipped because they have tested the line multiple times with it being rated at 512kps or less every time (idk where the site gets 700). The only good thing is it only costs me $15 a month.

I am looking at Fios though, the slow speeds make me mad sometimes.

I've been getting 2-3 Mbps down and 0.2 - 0.25 Mbps up in Norman, Oklahoma (just outside of Oklahoma City)

Jeez, AT&T is faster than Verizon but it's still that slow? I feel bad for the Americans.

I average around 4.5-5mbps in Canada.

Gah! That beats my 4.51 :(

The XT network here in NZ is technically very similar to the new Telus/Bell one.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

2.2 is the best I've done on 3g in Boston. That was exceptional tho. I usually get 1.6-1.8 at off peak times. It can drop to a few hundred during the day. :(

home wifi is 25 mbps FiOS, and I get ~15 on my iPhone and the full 25 on my iMac (dunno why the big difference). :)
