Hey guys!

I bought the iPhone almost 2 week ago. Tomorrow is the 13th day using the iPhone. I think I will go back to ATT store and return the iPhone to get a regular phone. There is nothing wrong with this iphone (the best smart phone so far). The reason I return it because the monthly bill is too high.

I'm learning how to write app for iphone so get iPod Touch will save me a lot of money in the long run.

My question is: Do I have to pay any fee to return the iPhone back to ATT?

Thanks

a guy at work returned his and had to pay a fee to return it within 30 days... not sure

Did he return it to Apple or AT&T?

Apple has a 10% restocking fee for opened products. I am not sure if AT&T has the same policy (especially if you are keeping your contract and just getting another phone).

You can return your iPhone within 30 days. However, you are responsible for paying for any voice and/or data that you used during the time you had the phone.

I'm pretty sure you have to pay the same restocking fee at the ATT store that you do at the Apple store, since it's an Apple product. (plus your usage fees if you are closing the line).

I'm pretty sure you don't. ATT advertises a 30 day return policy but I've never seen a restocking fee policy. It may be an Apple product but ATT is a reseller...they're probably eating the cost and/or selling returned units anyways.

I bought my iPhone a week ago from AT&T corporate store and they told me that they do charge a restocking fee of 10% for return of iPhones.

"Equipment

Returns/exchanges must be like new, with all original packaging, accessories, manuals and proof of purchase. You may exchange equipment one time within the 30 day period. A 10% restocking fee applies to iPhone returns. A $20 restocking fee applies to devices purchased at an AT&T-owned retail store (excluding Puerto Rico and Hawaii). Restocking requirements and fees may apply to purchases made elsewhere, and may vary by market or type of equipment. See your receipt or an AT&T store for details. Equipment received through an insurance claim cannot be returned or exchanged under this policy."

There you go.

Thanks.
