Do i have to use jailbreakme to....

I have an unlocked and jailbroken iPhone but have no Installer.app installed. Im trying to get it onto my phone without the jailbreakme method since i already patched my TIFF exploit which prevents jailbreakme from working. I tried downloading the app from a friends iPhone and just copying it to my Applications folder via iFuntastic but it doesn't work. The app launches to a blank screen and nothing happens suggesting it wasn't properly installed

Is there a way to get the installer app without having to restore and re-activate/jailbreak via jailbreakme because thats too long winded

The only reason i need the app is to fix the stupid SMS Issue which can purportedly damage the SMS database. Its fixed in 1.1.2 but i'm not interested in upgrading even though i can...too much hassle.

Can anyone help me?

Mmmm, there is no way to repair any damage to SMS application without having to restore.

You could look, but I haven't heard of any way to fix this.
