I honestly have a A12X 4GB 2018 iPad Pro. Form October 2018 launch date. I can’t see any new feature being significant enough to get a new iPad Pro.

What features would make you get a new iPad Pro in 2022 ?

Solemn pledge? Absolutely not. But with having the M1 12.9 & Mini 6 now, I don't see anything on the horizon that would get me to buy a new device, nor can I think of a new feature that would get me to update.

Assuming Apple gets rid of the SIM card tray on the 2022 Pro, I'd probably grab some more 2021 Pros for the family (still need to replace a Pro 9.7 and 6th gen).

I’m probably not upgrading my iPad Pro, but if a new Magic Keyboard comes out that is backwards compatible with the M1…Well, I may have to bite on that one.

The iPad Pro M1 version/iPad Pro 5 is the ultimate device and the iPad I dreamed about having. I JUST got mine before WWDC in June as I couldn’t afford it in 2021. Honestly I cannot think of any feature that would make me upgrade. The M1, 16GB RAM, Mini-LED XDR Display, 120Hz, improved color accuracy, weight and size, and even the cameras are just about iphone 12 Pro quality… if Apple takes this iPad serious and provides at-least 7 more years of software support, I’m not at all planning to get any “new” iPad. Micro LED would probably be something I’d pause and think about though. lol.

Not a chance as I am thinking of buying my mum a new iPad Pro to replace her ageing 9.7” Pro model. Will see what they launch next month. For me personally absolutely not as my M1 Pro is awesome.

Desktop apps is really what would get me to get a new iPad. I doubt I'd use Photoshop on my desktop again if the full version was on the iPad. Until then though, they can add all the cores they want, it won't make a difference if you can't use them.

Tbh for what? The new super powerful iPad Pro with the m2 will barely manage multitask. It’s a software issue never a hardware one and tbh I believe Apple won’t change the current situation.

Those sexy new 4-pin connectors are going to break some of these pledges, though 🙄

Yeah. Only improvement I could ask for is OLED on both Pro models, but even then, I couldn’t justify it. I’ve spent too much money on Apple in the last year. I hope to have enough self discipline to not upgrade my iPad until at least 2025.

100 % chance I won't be. Just got a m2 MacBook Air, the new 14 pro Max and already have the 11" m1 pro. Im good for the year lol
