Hi,

If I want to do an erase and reinstall OSX on my two mac minis, newish intel and much older G4, do I need a wired keyboard? Both currently work with bluetooth devices.

I have a spare USB mouse in a drawer somewhere but not a keyboard.

Thanks.

However, I seem to remember that when I last did this with the G4 mini after the file load the initial setup process asks a number of questions in order to register the device with Apple and won't let you continue unless you fill them in. Name and address etc.

I previously used a USB keyboard from my old iMac but I sold that a week or so ago.

I have now sold the G4 and need to clean it down and reinstall.

Thanks.

It should work fine as long as the G4 Mini has Bluetooth. Try it now before reinstalling. If it works, it should work when reinstalling
