Hey there :)

I just wanted to ask if MobileMe could be something for me...

First of all I have an iPhone and im planning to buy a MBP in the next time.

Now: I have an exchange Account with all my Contacts, Mails and Calenders in there.
So does it make sence for me to get MobileMe?
Which features do i get, in adition to Exchange?
Is it possible to use my own domain endling for my Mails at Mobile Me?

Thanks for the help

And an other Question: Does iCal support MS Exchange?

Hi - it looks like you had a similar question as me. If you look further down this forum for "Is a MobileMe account worth it ?" - I had over 20 replies giving positive and negative recommendations but all useful advice to see if MM is for you.

Thanks, but I have an Exchnage Account, and this covers some of the MM things, and so I wanted to hear if it makes sence to use both...

In terms of Contacts, Mail and Calendar support - nothing.

MobileMe does have some other features, as described on the site:

http://www.apple.com/mobileme/features/

If you are looking at it just for the Contacts/Calendar/Mail features, you are probably better off sticking with Exchange.

No. MobileMe Mail can get email from another account, but that's a messy way of doing things.

And an other Question: Does iCal support MS Exchange?

If you have Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) it does:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3748

A new Mac would include Snow Leopard.

MobileMe is a paid service that does the same thing as multiple free services from Google and Microsoft. You're paying for the convenience of everything, as opposed to having to manage everything manually.

And I don't believe you can use the email on your own domain.
