Do I need to be online to jb?

Ok,
I have a 3gs, and I downloaded the 3.1.2 ipsw and I have pawnage tool 3.1.4. My question is, do I need to be online to perform the jb? I have no Internet on my laptop, and am wondering when I restore to the pwned ipsw in iTunes, would I have to be online to activate my phone? I have a 3gs with att&t currently not jb. Any help would be appreciated.

No, as long as you don't want to pre-install anything to the IPSW.

If you were using redsn0w, however, you would need the internet.
