Do I need to manually change the APN settings when traveling with iPad

Hi guys,

I am traveling to Australia tomorrow and am planning on picking up a SIM there for my iPad.

Can I just pop it in and I'm away, or will I need to manually set the APN settings?

I'm not planing on taking my computer so I won't be able to sync with iTunes while away.

You shouldn't have to, once you got the new SIM, it will connect to the network and get all the information it needs.

Sorry but that isn't always the case. The APN details are automatically set via iTunes but without a PC you will likely need to manually set your APN details.

Just go Google search ahead of time for a page with all carrier settings, like this one for example, and save the details to a note on your iPad.
