Hi everyone

These past few days I've been trying to install Moblin on a partition of my Macbook. Things were going well and I got the disk partitioned the way I wanted. The problem is that I can't (or maybe I just don't know how to) select which OS I'd like to use at startup and, also, when I go into Disk Utility I cannot see the Moblin partition - it says I only have Macintosh HD - ~200GB and Linux Swap - ~509MB. I don't understand why the latter problem is happening, but I figure the Moblin OS must be installed on this missing partition. However, I still can't boot into Moblin.

To remedy this, I thought I'd use bootcamp. However, I need an unpartitioned disk to set that up according to the software.

I may have read something wrong or I may just be very inexperienced with this - well, I am very inexperienced with OSX and software in general. Can anyone make a suggestion? Am I going to have to reformat the entire HD? Or is there a solution of which I am not aware?

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Press the "Option" key when you turn on Mac and keep it pressed until the Mac's boot menu appears. And don't be confused when the menu gives you the option to boot Windows -- the guys at Apple live in a black and white world; in their universe, the only two options are OS X or Windows. Accordingly, everything that's not OS X must be Windows in their book.

Do NOT use or install Boot Camp for your Linux purposes. Boot Camp is a crutch to get Windows installed on Mac, nothing else.

If you need a boot manager that knows how to handle Linux, use rEFIt.
