do i need to update OS X?

I bought a SR MBP about a month ago. The system info says i have OS X version 10.4.1. However, I've seen people talking about 10.4.9 as well. When I check software updates nothing comes up for 10.4.9. Does this version apply to me, and can I download from the apple website?

Are you sure you have 10.4.1 and not 10.4.10? 10.4.10 is the latest version. If you cannot see updates and its a new MBP maybe you have the latest update!

10.4.1 is not the same as 10.4.10

Are you sure that you're running 10.4.1?

It would have shipped with 10.4.8 (or even 10.4.9) so it's not possible that you've got 10.4.1
