I'm new to gaming. and I'm a little confused.
Plants vs. Zombies runs on Mac, but I can't find it anywhere in the new App Store on my Mac, yet it's right there in the top games on my iPhone.

From what I can tell, the App Store is different on the Mac? Very disappointing. When the little App Store icon magically appeared on my dock, I expected to be able to get the same games from the real App Store... What's the real story?

Yes, the iOS App Store and the Mac App Store are entirely separate categories. The reason you can't find PvZ in the MAS yet is simple: it's not in the store yet. It may be later, or it may not. Only Apple and the developer know.

To wit: just because it isn't the Mac App Store doesn't make the iOS one a 'fake' store, it just means it's different. They're two very different platforms, so to expect that a program available for one will be available for the other is... foolish.
