I saw an ad on my local craigslist selling an iPod 2G for about $75. I'm kinda interested on getting it since it was one of the first few. He says it's in good condition and working. What I meant by "work" is will it be able to sync up to my iTunes on my MBP? I read that iPod Mini's no longer sync up with iTunes. I want to buy this off him but I would like to make sure first. :) Thanks for reading.

Last time I checked my Mini still sync'd fine with the latest iTunes but I'll check again this weekend to confirm.

As for the iPod 2G for $75... seems pretty expensive for such an old iPod. Putting things in perspective, I see 5G iPods (i.e. pretty much the iPod Classic but with more meagre 30gb capacities) going for around $100aud hence $75 for a black and white old school iPod seems a bit expensive unless you like the nostalgia..

I just bought an iPod 2G of eBay for 30 bucks. According to the description it probably just needs a new battery so I bought one and a firewire cable. I assume all iPod generations should work with the current iTunes as my 3G does with no issues. I'm sure if they stopped iTunes support for any older models we would definitely hear about it.
