Do Lion kill Apps to free RAM?

I recall reading about this, but not sure if this is true, does Lion behaves like iOS managing the RAM closing programs when are not at use?

Only if the application supports auto termination and has no documents open.

There's one of the sessions video which actually demonstrates how the system is being optimised.

I am not very sure if I've looked at those, but I am pretty sure when I say that Lion does NOT kill apps to free RAM. Pretty sure.

iOS doesn't kill apps does it? I thought it just suspended them, effectively like pausing them, no Lion doesn't do that, serious computer users would freak out if apps started closing themselves, the closest to this is the auto-resume, which in my opinion is the dumbest thing on a computer since Windows...

Resume has its uses. For example, as an owner of an MBP with a 9400M and 9600M, logging out to change graphics cards will be a much better experience post-Lion.
