I read somewhere that docking speakers do not work with 2G. Is this true?

Cause they are giving away the Logitech speakers as a bonus at Big W, Australia.
iPod 8GB + Logitech = AU$318.

Here is a pic:

Thinks its a LOGITECH Pure-Fi Express Plus.

Will these speakers work with the 2G?

I see no reason why not. The 1st gen and 2nd gen are virtually the same.

The advert says it does anyway - there's a massive photo of a 2nd gen iPod Touch!

Thats not true. The 1g could be charged with both 5v and 12v power while the 2g only charges with 5v (aka USB) so many previous docks and radios no longer work with it. Your best bet is to check the logitech website or if you cant find anything there then give them a call to make sure.

According to its website. Its not very specific..

Well, if it'll work through the 3.5mm jack then you're okay either way, minus the charging capability. It's free, man.
