Do many of you use Android Phones and Macbook pro? Apps suggestion.

my iPhone got lost, been on iPhones since '09, so I have been on an old flip phone for a few months. I've waited on the next new iPhone because I would hate to have the 5s and a new feature comes out on the 6. That being said, my son has the Sammy s5 and it has really sparked my interest with its features.

So how does this work for you Android users. Will I miss the synchronized Notes, calendar, reminders, safari links and contacts?
These things are important to me as I share these items with the wife.

If you need to buy some time until the next iPhone comes out in the fall I would spend $59 with free shipping, no tax, free returns from the Microsoft store and buy a Nokia Lumia 520 Windows phone. It is a probably the best deal going for a usable smart phone right now.
It has very similar specs to the overpriced iPhone 4S except for screen resolution, 800x480 vs 960x640. And it runs Windows software faster than the 4S runs iOS.
The Windows 8.1 update, which the developer preview is out right now and easily obtainable by simply signing up as a developer for free, has iCloud support that syncs email, calendar and contacts. And it works well.
You can use OneNote to sync notes between a Mac, iPad, and the Windows phone which also works well.
If you find you end up really liking the Windows phone, Nokia's flagship 930 is coming out in June.
If you are on Verizon, substitute the 521 for 520 and the Icon for the 930.

All of this functionality can be replicated across both platforms.

There are tons of multiplatform note apps--as suggested, Evernote is one of the most popular and works great, far more robust than the rudimentary Notes app in Apple's devices. Google Keep offers similar functionality to Apple's Notes.

If you don't have one already, set up a Google account and use it to sync your contacts and calendars to all of your devices. Doing this will make moving back and forth between platforms/devices a breeze in the future as well, should you feel so inclined to switch again. If you absolutely must still use iCloud, search for SmoothSync in the Google Play store--will allow you to sync calendar and contacts to/from an Android device from iCloud.

Safari bookmark syncing is the only thing that can't be replicated exactly. What you can do though use Chrome browser instead. Import your bookmarks to Chrome on your Mac, setup sync using your new Google account and do the same on your Android device. Voila, synced bookmarks across all devices once again. If you use an iPad as well, bookmarks will be synced with the Chrome browser there as well.

As with notes, there are many choices for multiplatform reminder apps. I use Wunderlist on my iDevices, Macs, and Android devices.

I use a Mini, iPad 4 and a Moto G, love the versatility of my Moto G with Swift Key paid version as my keyboard, Biz Pro Calendar and Hangouts for SMS it's a really nice communications device. By the way a Moto G is $ 199.00 unlocked for 16GB and is really nice.

Thanks all; a few have pointed to why do you need IOS Notes. Well my wife is kinda slow to anything tech. By the time I got her to actually use a beeper they were outdated, started her off on a Palm Treo phone buy the time she started really using the features we moved on to the iPhone. Now she actually uses the iPhone.
I just want to make sure our shared information can continue to be "Shared" as i have to keep the data more or less current.

Interesting thought to go with an old windows phone to get the experience. Im gonna take anther look at those.

Well, with my Nexus devices when ever I make a reminder entry it automatically syncs with my Mac, and my Mac then pops up a lovely little reminder.
Now some might think so what, the so what part was the fact I did NOTHING to set this up, all I do is use gmail, it just worked

You have to migrate over to Google services. Your Calendar, Reminders and Contacts sync up to these services like your Mail app to gmail.
