Do metal lugs scratch aluminum watches?

Hi I have a space grey aluminum se, and recently ordered some AliExpress “trail loop” type bands with metal connectors/lugs.

I wondered if the metal connectors could scratch up the soft aluminum, perhaps when the bands are put on and taken off. Or just from slight rubbing/flexing throughout the day. Presumably it would only affect the place where the band attaches, which isn’t a huge problem. but wondering if people have experienced issues with that.

i experienced that with my old black s5 nomad strap lugs scratched the edges often

Depends on how rough you are when putting them in/on.

I've never scratched an AL watch with a metal strap or lugs.

As long as you're reasonably careful, it shouldn't scratch. I've had aluminum watches since the S3, and have never scratched one from putting on/taking off a metal strap.
