Do new apps appear in the App Store over the weekend?

I am waiting on approval of an App and have been told it should be in the App store anyday now and I was curious if these get approved and released on weekends or only weekdays?

Any real information would be appreciated.

*Sometimes* - We have had updates approved in the evening on weekends in the past (but not recently). I assume this is just a hardworking Apple reviewer trying to catch up over the weekend.
