I currently have a customers phone (iPhone 11 running IOS 15.3.1) and could really do with some help please?

The customer has advised me of the following:

"When my phone is connected through my Bluetooth and connected to my car.. it silences all notifications, and most importantly if I am using the iPhone as a satnav (because the maps are more up to date than my car’s satnav) no spoken directions can be heard.

The phone is synced correctly through the car since I am able to make, and receive calls via my car controls.
Note: I am not always the driver of my vehicle, and sometimes sit in the passenger seat but have my phone connected to my car.

At first with the IOS 15 update, I did not have the “do not disturb whilst driving” option activated, but I did activate the other “Do not disturb methods” since I do use those regularly.

However, after still running into this issue I decided to activate this Driving mode and attempted to just switch it off manually.

This has still not solved the matter and now I am unsure what is needed to rectify my problem."

Things that have been tried:
Settings > Focus :-
(Activate) Do not disturb

;Personal - has been set up
;Sleep - has been set up
;Work - has been set up
;Driving (originally wasn’t activated, but has since been set up)

(Furthermore)
Settings > Focus > Driving :- ** in active mode **

>> ALLOWED NOTIFICATIONS

;None allowed - this did not make a difference
;Allowed people - With a few contacts (from favorite list) added and had them message my phone to try out whilst the phone was connected to car - this did not make a difference

>>>

;Off - this did not make a difference

;Recents - this did not make a difference

;All Contacts - this did not make a difference

>> TURN ON AUTOMATICALLY

;Automatically - this did not make a difference
;When Connected to Car Bluetooth - this did not make a difference
;Manually - this did not make a difference

>>>
Activate with CarPlay
;On - this did not make a difference
;Off - this did not make a difference

Settings > Focus > Driving :- ** in deactive mode **
- this did not make a difference

Settings > Focus > Driving :-
;Delete Focus

- this did not make a difference

**** Also additional settings .....

Settings > Privacy > Focus:
This only shows (shared with) Messages - and currently switched off.

One last note:
I am one of these people who likes to hear the key click sound when I am typing. This too seems to be silenced one I am connected to my car via its Bluetooth.

What my customer is hoping for as the resolution:
To be able to (whilst sitting in passenger seat but with their phone connected to their car) use the iPhone as a satnav

I apologise for long thread but it is causing my customer and me so distress

I managed to update my customers phone to IOS 15.4 and asked if they could take back the phone and try the driving issue. However, that has not fixed the issue and so I have the phone being returned to me tomorrow, to try the next steps in trying to get it working properly.

Just wondering if anyone has come across this issue- and if so if they know how to fix it.
Updating to iOS 15.4 did not solve the issue
Many thanks

I fixed it I think. I deleted my wife’s contact completely. Did a soft reset on the phone and put her back in. No longer doing it.
