So this is annoying. When I put my phone into DND the phone still rings when a caller dials me a second time.

Under Settings > DND
> Allowed Notifications > People
> Nome allowed

I’ve observed this from people in my contacts and from numbers not in my contacts.

Any solutions for this?

I just put it in ‘airplane’ mode, especially when I go to bed, but I seldom sleep with my phone in the same room.

The reason is because by default, if people call again within 3 minutes, the call will go through. You can turn it off as Analog Kid said.
I think there’s a setting to allow a second attempt through…

people >also allow> repeated calls

And for the people not in contacts, Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers. Send spam calls and others right to voicemail.

Works great, as I've received a couple of spam calls lately that try to break through Repeated Calls by re-dialing my number 4-5 times in the span of a minute (guessing their auto-dialers are noticing straight to VM so try again, and again, and again).
