So I had a bunch of apps loaded to the phone over the weekend and came to work and did a sync. I thought it said something to the effect that apps. on phone that if you want to trasfer click allow or something allong those lines. I was worried that I was going lose everything like when trying to sycn music at home and at work (can't me done) So I click transfer and low and behold it has deleted everything I had set up. I hope I can go home and sycn and everything will be back (please someone tell me I am right)

So for the newbies out there. If two PC's work and home, Check off emial and contacts for work and everything else at home. or if doing the apps only at work then email, contacts and apps checked on the work pc.

If I have explained wrong or missed something someone chime in.

Crap what about the ones I paid for already. I thought (will search) I can redownload for free. Man I hope.

I had the same issue last night. We have two iPhones and one iTunes library. She was syncing to her machine (apps) and I was syncing to mine. When she said she wanted SuperMonkeyBall I did the same sync and delete. Whoops! Luckily I just accessed the apps store via her phone and redownloaded those apps that she purchased (for free).

This can be remedied by first doing a iphone>pc sync by clicking on the "Transfer purchases from <user's> iphone" in the File menu. Then all your apps will be copied over to the new pc. Next time you do a sync, you shouldn't lose anything.

So I could by doing this have the apps in iTunes on both work and home pc? thanks for the tip and I will reload tonight and try again tomorrow.

Okay all are showing up on my work PC after transfer. So now I have to select apps to sync and if gives me the warning "Are you sure you want to sync blah blah, all apps and data will be replaced with trahfered purchases blah blah"

So will this happen evertime I go home and sync apps I download there and than again back at home? Or will once updated on work and home will it just update new downloads at work and home. Yes I have authorized both pc's I just want to make sure before I do this at work that I am not in for the same issue when I get home.
