iOS Do old versions of MacOS get the latest Xcode?

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro and it’s just been put on the no updates list from Mojave on.

Will I still be able to get the latest xCode on High Sierra?

If so how long do they typically let you do that before latest xCode = new Mac ?

You can stay one os generation behind on your Mac and use the latest xCode
So you can develop on High Sierra until Autumn 2019 when xCode 11 launches

A couple months ago, after updating my iPhone to 11.3.4, I had to upgrade a MacBook to High Sierra to use the just released Xcode 9.4 to be able to debug on my iPhone. (iOS 11.3.2 and Xcode 9.3 ran on an older OS release: macOS 10.12).

So plan on suddenly having to update the macOS on your Mac to stay current with the latest iOS releases and the Xcode required to support it.

Ouch. That could be tricky. I was hoping I could hold onto my current Mac until finding out what the New Mac Pro would be, and if it would be similar in price to the current gen.

Or in a magical world until they release a new Mac Mini as a stop gap.
