Do Series 5 protective cases fit the Series 6?

Hey all,

I'm getting my first Apple Watch - a series 6 - and would like to get a protective case on it ASAP.

I'm looking at the Rhinoshield CrashGuard NX. They don't officially offer a series 6 "version" yet, but my understanding is that the external hardware of a 6 is the same as the 5 (other than the sensors on the bottom).

Has anyone tried a similar series 5 case on their 6 watch?

i am looking at the same exact case for my series 6 too! I saw someone post on reddit that the series 5 case they had fit their series 6 (Link). Additionally, on RhinoShields IG they noted that they are currently testing out the series 5 case on their series 6. Hope that helps!

according to fixit teardown, the S6 is .34mm thinner ... iFixit Apple Watch Series 6 Teardown Finds Larger Battery and Bigger Taptic Engine in Thinner Casing
I would get confirmation from the case manufacturer
