Do teachers get ipod and printer promotion?

I made a thread earlier about this but I received no responses. Anyways, I am about to buy my imac and take advantage of the ipod and printer promotions, and are wondering if university staff also get these deals.

Also, somehow I have heard that with the ipod promotion, you can't get a new ipod nano, only one of the old ones, is that true?

EDIT: I just looked at apple.ca at the ipod promotion FAQ... teachers do get a free ipod, but one of the old ones, as does everyone else. My only question now is where can you order the old ones from on apple.ca?

When you follow the link to buy an eligible Mac and place it in your cart, you will be offered the old iPods. Nothing like waiting for the last minute.

I was bummed that hadn't waited on my 24" imac purchase - I thought I missed out on a new nano having bought my 24" imac last month. Now that I see you still only get the previous generation iPod I feel much better

I know that if you purchase a new Mac online, there is no "verification" you have to go through to prove you are a student, at least as far as I know. You just click the the school you attend, and that's it.

Also I have a friend who works for a company that does business with Apple...and if you order over the phone, you only need to provide the school name.

they do do random checks. i now i had to submit proof of enrollment for my ipod 5g and i ordered that online
