So here is the deal. I am going to buy one or the other but I kinda want to have my cake and eat it too type of guy.

On one hand I prefer the open style because of the comfort, and I will probably use it about 60% of the time, you know going on a quit walk in the woods ladi da no anc no nothing.
BUT I would like to have the ANC and the tighter fit for when I have a call or I'm working out. So i have 2 options:
A) Get the Pro and use them without the tips whenever i want an open feel
B) Buy the 3 and buy additional foam/silicone tips that make it an in ear headphone for when i need it (but I am not getting a real anc)

My question is for the people who had both and have tested the Pro without the tips. Do they feel the same as the 3?
Is the bud itself larger(and less comfortable) on the Pro? Are they less comfortable without the tip?

Ears are different of course, but having just tested this I can say that my ears would not be able to hold the AirPods Pro at all without the tips. The moment I move in any way they fall off. The AirPods Pro feel very much designed to barely rest on the ear, but to anchor in place by the tip.

My recommendation: don't buy the APP and expect them to be usable without the tips.

The AirPods Pro don’t fit well, if at all, without the tips. The dimensions are different than the current gen AirPods.

You’re never going to find a specific answer to your question OP. The reality is, what fits for somebody else, may not fit for you or vice versa.

The tips are designed for more of a ‘placement holding’, and helps create a seal where the sound is ‘locked in’. By removing the tips, you lose both of those aspects.

Did you end up buying the Pros? how do they fit without the silicone tips?
