the subject line says it all. i will be getting a new macbook in the next little while and wanted to upgrade the hard drive to something a lot bigger. so i know the new MBs come with leopard pre-installed, but does it have the disc as well so i could do a fresh install on a new drive? thanks

I would imagine so, since it was Leopard that added support for the video card in the SR MacBooks (GMA X3100).

I'll let you know for sure tomorrow, though.

Yes it does, all macs come with a software restore disk which has on it the software that was pre loaded, in this case that is Leopard.

so just to get a bit of re-assurance, if i got a new mac, swapped out the hard drive, then loaded the OS off the disc, it would basically be the same as though it were out of the box, except id have more hard drive space. right?
