Hey guys,

I just got my 2.33 MacBook Pro back from Apple. The inverter whine was supposed to be fixed. All was fine for a few days, but it seems to be back. On top of that, it also has the CPU whine. I know the CPU whine can't be fixed, but the inverter whine can.

Do the new SR MacBook Pro's have either whine? Would it be worth swapping it out? Customer Relations told me they'd give me a new one if this didn't repair it.

What should I do?

Thanks

yea go for it...a new sr mbp? i would do it...mine does not make any sound except when the fans start going at a higher RPM...go for it

I went crazy because of the CPU whine on the MacBook, but there's no such thing on the SR MBP. :) That's the biggest reason I was pissed that Apple didn't update the MB with Santa Rosa, I can't have a whining laptop.

Good screen too

The LED MbP's also have a fantastic screen. I have one (week 31) and there is no whine and the screen is perfect. No yellow, even though it's Samsung.
