Okay, I don't know why I did this, but I decided to sniff the headphone jack of my iPhone. Smelled wonderful, I'm not sure how to describe the scent.

It gave me that new car smell feeling, although it didn't smell like a new car. Now that I sniff it again (I'm at work btw), it sorta does smell like a new car.

Okay, I'm officially strange. I just sniffed the dock port. Smells awesome.

I'm crazy. But I'm probably just crazy about my iPhone. And that's exactly how an Apple owner should act, right? Right?

Wonders if it smells the same as a new iPod, not that I have the same weird smelling thing as the OP

you aren't alone

wrong, you are smelling your iPhones! seriously, i love mine, but get a life.

Drinkin' that Haterade. Hey, I'm bored at work and I discovered something. I'm young, and my olfactory glands are still functioning quite properly. If you don't smell what I smell, then I don't know.

But I shall take your advice. After work...A life, I shall seek. For the mean time, sniff time baby!

"Yep, that's right Johnny-boy. You know, your grandpa got one of the first iPhones ever made, yes-sir-ee I did. 55 years ago I went out and bought it on Launch Day... I can still remember sniffing the headphone jack and enjoying the new-phone-smell.

There's nothing you enjoy more than the new-phone-smell of your first iPhone."

Hopefully your work doesn't have drug testing... Because even if you are not taking any, if anyone saw you they are going to assume you are.

I still remember the smell my PowerBook 17" gave off for the first few weeks of operation. Sweet stuff. Mmmm headphone jack.

You're right. It does have a new car smell.

it smells used. at least it doesn't smell moist. :p

but really, what would compel someone to smell the headphone jack?

NOW I am getting it: a dog thinks that another dog is not a dog but a K9 iPhone. This proves that dogs are more advanced than humans, because dogs have been getting their ultimate fix for millions of years, which makes it exactly millions of years before humans learned how to do the same.

For days now i have been excessively smelling my iphone through its headphone jack! The overwhelming smell of fresh silicon and solder is basically what i live for. Sniff on my fellow macheads, sniff until your nostrils burn.
