. . . meaning connect your new iPhone to a Mac and have it erase and install a fresh iOS? Probably no point in it. I'm probably imagining incorrectly that there's an issue with installing the iOS en masse at the manufacturing factory.
If there's an iOS update, a "x.0.1" update, that's required after manufacture which happens sometimes, then I do connect it with my Mac to update, and then restore from a backup versus a device-to-device transfer.
I don't know if any of the above really matters though. Thoughts?
