Do you expect a new generation of iPhone will be out this year?

When I googled "iphone 4G", I found lots of postings about it. Do you expect that it will be available this year? Do you think Apple will use the metal case instead of the easy-to-get-cracks plastic case?

It is only a few months, though, until we start seeing speculation. Informed or more likely not. About what features will be in the next model.

I think that, with the precedent of the last 2 versions, that there won't be an "iPhone 4G" until LTE is supported. So at least 3 years out for that name.

Not until June/July 2010.

Agreed, so far it has only been in June or July. However, Apple did introduce a 16GB version of the original iPhone in February 2008.

No to this year and a no for 4G.

4G has quite a ways to go. We just got an iPhone 3G last year.

okay so ive seen like all these new windows HTC phones
like
HTC HD2 which has like 5 megapixel and large screen really slim
flash etc.
and nokia phones like the n9000

these phones are better or up to par with the iPhone
so since apple had from iPhone 3G release till next year to develop a new
4G cuz the 3Gs was barley an upgrade

but do u think with all this time
Apple will finally release an actaul good iPhone
with like 3-5 megapixel camrea, flash, better overal design
and such
or will they give us a ****** update
cuz i really wanna get the new
HTC HD2 but imma hold off until i can see the new iPhone 4G
hopefully Apple puts out an amzing phone

Because metal cases seriously block both wifi and cellular signals--whereas they travel through plastic much more smoothly.

I'm buying the HD2 the second it is available in the US. That is one sweet phone. 4" screen? Wow, very nice.
