I was in the store today and tried both versions of the pencil. One on an iPad and the 2nd on a 120 hz iPad Pro. Besides the version 2 feeling better in my hand since it is matte and has a flat edge, I didn't notice lag with normal handwriting. But I read an article which mentioned it and I think some people in the forum also stated there is lag compared to the 2nd version. Is it just very slight?

I’ve been using the original Apple Pencil practically every day for the last three years and have never noticed any lag. It’s superb for annotating pdfs.

It’s very slight. Noticeable, but not a problem for illustration, handwriting, anything. The Apple Pencil experience is great on any supported device. 120hz is, of course, awesome, but a regular iPad with Apple Pencil is nice too.

Mirrors my experience too. Also, recently during a visit to the local Apple store, I tried out the Pencil v2 on the 11”. I did not notice any difference aside from how the Pencil felt in-hand.
