Hello, thank you for your patient answers to my shuffling iPad questions.

I bought a used IPP. It is still within one year limited warranty. It expires in June. As far as I can tell I the limited warranty transfers. Can I add applecare+ within the year time?

It's too late to add AppleCare+. AppleCare+ must be purchased on the same day of original purchase date or within 60 days of original purchase date.

Not through Settings - General. The written policy on Apple's website also states within 60 days of original purchase only.

However, you could try an Apple retail store (maybe a couple more if you strike out on the first try). Depending on the customer rep or manager, you may be able to. If they allow it, I'd add AC+ right away though and not wait until June to avoid risk of getting a different customer rep/manager later that wouldn't allow it.

In Thailand, you can purchase AppleCare+ within limited warranty period from authorized service provider, not from Apple.
And you'll get 2 full years of AppleCare+ coverage from the date of AppleCare+ purchase (not original device purchase date).
But they will run full diagnosis and cosmetic check, everything must be in good condition to be able to buy AppleCare+.

I bought mine for iPad Pro last year just 2 days before the limited warranty expired.

I think that you will want to verify this; it’s not how Applecare works elsewhere. Regardless of when you buy the plan, you’re only covered for an additional year from the iPad‘s original date of purchase. So, you may not have the coverage you think you do.
The old AppleCare plans which didn‘t cover accidental damage didn’t have limitations on when they could be purchased, as long as it was within one year of the original purchase date.

They did not let me in the end. This only because they recently changed their policy. Bought an Otterbox with tempered glass screen protector.

I can assure you, it's AppleCare+ with 2 accidental damages per year.
I already had my device replaced at Apple Store Iconsiam with around 49$ fee.
