I do and because I have a 500mm lens to go with that DSLR...well, you can only imagine.
The really cool thing is that I can clean the gunk out from between my toes without even having to bend over. Life is good.

Real men shoot DSLR's with Prime zooms, flash gun and battery grip..
and only hand held. no wimpy tripod needed.
If you wimps would hit the gym once in a while that wouldn't happen. Back in the day, real men carried real cameras and didn't whine about it.
A Nikon F5 weighed something like 1.5kg with batteries, and don't even get me started on a video rig
But I did lose some weight, so I can't talk too much trash. The D750 weighs 30 grams less than the D7000.

My current D750 can shoot 586 shots with a 32 GB card (RAW). with the second slot thats over 1000.
Back in the day how much film would you have to carry to do that!

For what a 32GB card would cost in 1995, I could've hire Paulina Porizkova to follow me around everywhere carrying as much film as I could possibly need AND have serious eye candy on top of it.
I certainly jumped to digital the very moment I saw a D70, and have been digital ever after, but it wasn't an option then.

That being said my Dad was a fashion photographer and would usually carry around a hundred rolls with him.
Either way the answer isn't that exciting. The average 35mm film canister with film weighs around 35g (ironic ha!) so 1000 shots would be roughly 1kg or a bag of sugar.

I hardly ever shoot more than 150 in a day.

Tbh, the size/weight of the DSLR was the reason why I opted to go to the M43 cameras - oddly or coincidentally enough an Olympus OMD EM5. I found trudging through DisneyWorld with a DSLR and a tank of a lens to be tiring, especially since I had two young kids to attend too. Now that barely gets in the way and I can better deal with my kids while we visit places and what not.

That plus the weight of the assistant frantically loading spare backs behind him added up to quite a load.
But yeah, most DSLRs are actually pretty lightweight compared to past models. My steel-bodied Nikons are 2 pounds each just for the bodies; the RB67 and the Wista are 6 pounds. Weirdly, the Speed Graphic weighs in at around five pounds but is actually fairly easy to use handheld.
But Olympus made its name by making an SLR that was smaller and lighter than the Nikons and Canons of its day, so I'm sure they feel entitled to carry on with that.
Yes, I love my D800. I wouldn't be able to get some of my shots on film. However, I was surprised with the tonal qualities of the 4x5 film I shot when compared to digital. There really is something special happening there.
I wasn't actively looking for an 8x10 but somebody that rents a space next to the gallery is downsizing. Something about shooting Las Vegas with a camera that is older than the city itself is appealing.
This isn't my camera but it is the same model. The King was produced between 1897 and 1903 while Las Vegas was incorporated in 1905.
The film and chemicals get delivered today.
I love taking pictures and trudging through all manner of places with my bulky camera and heavy lenses. Between the wife and I, we usually have an iphone, p/s and my camera equipment.
