If there are no adults home at the time, can a minor (age 17) sign for delivery?

I've never, in my life, seen or heard of UPS or FedEx asking for ID. If the minor is 17, the UPS guy won't know the difference and better yet, won't care. Whether the person needs to be 18 or not really doesn't matter cause UPS and FedEx won't care. ;)

My UPS guy doesnt even make us sign it anymore. He signs it himself in his truck and then drops it off at our house. It's good that he does this when nobodys home, but it also stinks since if he delivers it to the wrong place I probably wont get my package.

Don't know if theres an age limit though
