In one other thread I mentioned that when I work on my desk, I keep my 12.9" iPad plugged in. I was wondering if anyone else did that? And also - do you think that can be detrimental or beneficial to battery health?

With my usage, i charge my battery overnight on avg every other night, sometimes I get 2 days usage before having to charge. Otherwise I dont worry about it. If I had to charge during day 1 of usage due to what I was doing drained battery faster, I would and still not worry about battery health

I use mine at my office desk daily and have never plugged it in to charge.

I charge overnight, every night, so get to the office with 100%.

I use my IPP all day every day as my primary computer, at work and at home, and only plug it in before bed each night. One of the things I love about it is the spectacular battery life and not being tethered to an outlet.

Days I’m at my office it is plugged in, days I’m away both are down to 20% at the end of the day.
Night they are always plugged in.

I noticed when I leave my 12.9 at my desk for a few days, plugged in, it doesn’t charge any higher them 94%-96% that is specially done to prevent deterioration of the battery.

I leave mine plugged in while at my desk. As a result I never need to charge it at home.

Same. Any time at my desk or wherever it's stationed, I leave it charging, as I may not return until the next day to charge it. But I do make time to leave it off the charger to not be charging all the time.

I have the complete opposite way of doing it. When I'm not home (I don't bring my iPad out), I leave it plugged in until I return home to use it again.

Nope. I do carry a battery pack with me just in case, but no I don't plug in at work all of our plugs are under the desk and I'm not getting on the floor to plug crap in or buying two charging cables for home and work.

The battery is good, but use something demanding like Procreate and it will quickly drop to 4-5 hours of an 8 hour work day :)

I use my 12.9 as another screen via Duet and as such it is plugged in to my MacBook pro via USB all day. This usually means it stays around 90-100% and is ready for the road at a moments notice!

I just plug it in when I sleep. Rarely I’ll charge it otherwise. If it’s like 70% at the end of the day, I won’t charge it though.

Rarely. I don't see the point of having an iPad if it's always tethered to a charger. My 10.5" Pro is averaging higher than the advertised 10 hours of battery life. There is no need to leave it on the charger 24/7.

No. Always use it untethered. It's uncomfortable to use the way the cable sticks out and I'm also afraid I'll make a dumb move and snap off the connector.
