So, do you like the new interface? For me, let say, Maverick's dock was better-looking.

Offer some options

I switched to a Mac because I was sick of Windows BS. I'm beginning to question the wisdom of that decision.

Someone needs to explain to me why there are so few options offered by the OS-X platform. Specifically, what was wrong with the nice looking "Shelf" look of the Mavericks dock? Why not give me the freedom to choose what my desktop looks like. Seriously, what's it to you "people at Apple"? It's my money buying your product. What gives you the right to decide what I see on my computer? Once the product is bought you have your money. Tell me why you think you need to control what I see on my screen. Please

Microsoft alter the design of Windows too... if you don't like it, you can change things like the dock appearance.

Some things look great, but the white buttons and other controls look amateurish at best. The craftsman ship has been lost. What was once clean and nice looking now looks like they forgot to remove the temporary placeholders.

I also hate the blurry translucent panels. Turning it off just breaks antialiasing among other things.

If you don't like Yosemite why not just go back to Mavericks? It's nothing like iOS where you have no choice when Apple stop signing the previous version, and 10.9 will be supported with applications for a pretty long time yet.

Personally I think the UI is great, and the features are even better. Nobody is forcing you to use 10.10, you have the choice of rolling back to 10.9

I mostly like it but then this evening the Mrs has some issues with her windoz laptop, what a pile of ***** that is and it took ages to sort out. No more complaining about OS X from me!

Apple seems in intent on putting on the yearly OS Fashion Show so a lot of the changes just look like stuff moved around for the sake of change. The iPhone screen in iTunes really looks like "let's move that here and then will move what was here over there were that was."

I installed Yosemite on both of my Macs, sure why not?

Give it a chance. I'm a windows user as well. And I really like Yosemite. To me, it is so clear and clean. Love the new font and style.

I LOVE IT! Eso the translucency! IT looks modern, and the colours just shine!

I wish legibility was improved in some areas. Other than that, I enjoy it a lot more than I expected to, considering I'm far from convinced of the value of flat design. Thankfully Yosemite isn't quite as flat as it could have been. But I'm glad they got rid of the 3D-Dock and other superfluous eye candy that doesn't actually enhance usability in any way (e.g. reflections in Preview.app's contact sheet and things like that).
