I saw a video online that said the new iPhone may come with a pill hole notch. I don't see anything wrong with it. It looks fine to me. The regular notch is fine too with me because I am used to it.

My only concern is that, I don't think it adds much screen real estate. I mean, the area above the pill hole notch and between the pill part and the hole part doesn't really add much.

But looks wise it's fine to me. I would probably get one.

I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts and concerns about it.

Wife has a samsung; I have an iPhone. I'm used to the notch; when i use my wife's phone; i don't notice the holepunch either.

It's a differentiating point from the previous iphone generations for sure; but it's nothing special either way.

Not bothered either way. Whatever it is, I'll quickly get used to it. It's certainly not something that should affect whether or not you buy an iPhone.

I prefer the notch at the moment. My opinion might change once I am used to the new pill shaped design though. I hated the 3 camera module on the Pro line when it first appeared on the 11 but I like it now.

Prefer the notch. The pictures i have seen the i notch is ugly and i won't be upgrading.

Pill hole is smaller than the notch in the renders so that’s already a plus to me.

Hopefully, that will allow showing battery percentage without needing to swipe down.

My issue with the pill hole is the screen above it is useless. If the bottom of the pill hole is the same height at the notch then I guess it's not really different but if it's lower then it's worse than the notch. As to looks I think it looks terrible but that's just me. Everyone likes different things.
