I'm on us cellular and was thinking of getting the electrify m which is essentially the droid razr m but on another carrier. Do you guys recommend the razr m? I would be using it for texting calling emailing music and webbrowsing. Occasionally some games. I need a phone with great battery life and good signal quality as I'm in low signal areas a good amount.

Ok. But I heard that it has bad battery life and horrible signal. Is this true. Those 2 things were keeping me from it

Battery lasts a day for me. The regular Droid won't last any more. It's not the Droid RAZR MAXX, which has ridiculous life.

On the topic of signal, should be fine. My iPhone 5 reports a better signal than my S3, but it's not like I'm dropping calls everywhere on my S3. It's pretty decent.

If I were getting an android phone on US Cellular, it would hands-down be the Samsung Galaxy Note II. If that's too big for you, GSIII.

The Droid M is a good phone, but not better than the other two. No idea about the signal issues.

According to the android forums I read Samsung usually doesn't do quite as well for reception as Motorola. If you live in an area where signal isn't that good the Motorola might be a better choice. Otherwise it's the Galaxy S3 hands down.

I'm in the same boat. On US Cellular and need to choose one of these two phones. Did you go with the Motorola? If so, how is it? Do you use the camera? I like the looks of the S3 but my Samsung Mesmerize was pretty bad so I'm a little down on Samsung

Its tough to beat Motorola radios, they've been in the business forever. Neil Armstrong one small step for man quote from the moon was across Motorola equipment.

Software wise....I dunoo I'd still get the S3 and return it if the signal is that bad in the area you need it...

If you already have the moto tell us how you like it....

I have the M right now as my work phone. Great call quality and very good battery life. I like the smaller form factor too. I'm not a fan of the pentile display (kind of grainy especially coming from retina), however and the camera is average at best.

I think Moto had a big edge in call quality and reception a few years ago, but the competition has closed the gap in recent years. My iPhone 5 has just as good call quality and it hangs on to LTE far better than my M. Definitely not the case with my iPhone 4 (call quality).

It's decent. I'd put it on par with the 4s. Maybe a tad better

That's great news. I want a decent camera, reliable phone for voice calls, and I need to use my phone as a hot spot occasionally (part of my plan). I also need to plug a wired headset into the speaker jack. Samsungs are notorious for low phone volume on wired headsets.

The chatter about the S3 keeps it in my mind but I had horrible luck with my Messmerize and the headset issue for me is really eliminating it as my choice. Glad others like the Motorola.

Well, I had a different turn of events. I went into the USCell store to upgrade my phones. I was told my tethering would be $25/month/phone more with a new phone. Bye bye USC. Too bad, they had great service. It's over to Verizon for a couple new iPhones.

Strange turn of events. The iPhone 5 on Verizon didn't work in my house. Took it back and am the very happy owner of a Motorola Electrify M.
