I don’t yet have a silicon Mac, but I use a few web apps that I wouldn’t mind running their iPhone version on the Mac if they had lower resource consumption.

Is anyone routinely using iPhone/iPad apps intentionally on their Mac, even when browser-based or Mac specific versions exist?

Thoughts?

No, I don't.

For example, Prime Video is on the Mac App Store but I still use the browser.

Just more convenient to use the browser.

Food Noms; runs great on my mac and saves me having to enter info on my phone which is super convenient.

Kind of curious as to any others' use; on the whole found that most apps either don't offer (or block) installing on the mac, or the interface feels jank.

I have a number of apps I'd like to run on my Mac, but the devs don't allow it for some stupid reason.
Apple needs to force compatibility like they did with iPhone and iPad.

As a developer myself, my assumption is that there are probably many who wouldn't mind offering it on Mac, but that they haven't bothered to enable it on Appstoreconnect, or aren't able to test it themselves. We only have one of our apps enabled for Silicon Mac, but as soon as I get mine I'll be testing a bunch side loaded to validate them for a public change.
