Ok- quickly, my bezel on my 3GS is really raised on one side and is really annoying considering my other two didn't have it. I actually got a small cut the first few days from using it but that sharpness is gone. I'm starting a few specks of dust under the screen so I took it in. THe guy said that he could see that it is raised and went to look at it by taking the glass screen out and seeing if the bezel will reset. He was in the back for no more than 5 minutes- said that it was a manufacture defect and nothing can be done. He made a note just in case there are problems in the future and I was off. I notice though the specks of dust are in the same place before he took it.

Was that enough time to do what he said and wouldn't the dust be removed because I'm sure they wipe the screen before putting it back on.

Thanks

Yes, it takes no time at all to do if you know what you are doing (and I suspect they do).

Wait? You walked out of the store without an exchange? It had dust under the screen and they wouldn't fix it? That doesn't sound like the apple stores I know. Last time I had dust under the screen they exchanged mine.

The apple store is a mall- I should have went to one of the larger stores in the city.

I called once before about it and went to the store so I guess at least there will be a record of what is going on with the phone since I bought it.

Do you guys think I should call applecare and ask for a replacement??

Thanks

Yes, definitely.

You are supposed to get an exchange if it has a manufacturing defect. I suggest calling Apple Care and have your iPhone problem fixed. I've had great experiences on both AppleCare and Apple Geniuses, but I think Apple Care is much better to handle defects/problems with hardware.

yep

Manufactures Defect says it all. he should of taken care of it then now you will be further inconvenienced I think this should be explained as well politely when you talk them. good luck! :D

I actually bought a Power Support film for the screen and I just noticed it nearly took away the bezel feeling of being too high. I guess I can deal with it for now. I know it sounds trivial but it is really an annoying feeling when using the phone.

Thanks for clearing up that he could have actually looked at it-that makes me feel better about the experience at least and I'll call Applecare.
