Do you think Apple will ever fix the iOS 11 Battery issues?

They seem to be totally avoiding it, More interest it fixing "it" autocorrect bugs. iOS 11 works great on 8 and 10 and thats all they seem to be worried about, to hell with the rest of us.

As the great Sir Jony Ive put it, disconnected devices can’t give a very good experience. If you want to experience iOS 11 the way it’s meant to be, upgrade to iPhone X. The rest iPhones are ancient monstrosities with a garbage design which won’t be treated well.

You have to ask yourself whats worse. Android where your updates will just stop or iOS where you will get updates but will eventually render your phone useless.

11.2 Beta 5 and 6 are almost the same so I wouldn't expect anything.

I have no battery issue. Its every year the same, apple is releasing a update > many reports about battery issue. i think apple can never fix this "issue" because its not apple related (every time). i think most time its a placebo

I dont say there is never a battery issue but I observe this phenomen about the battery issue every time with every update

The wife’s iPhone 6s, my iPad Air 2, and my iPhone X are performing really well. I compare my iPhone 6s (beta tester) to my wife’s 6s and it’s all very solid.

I’m very impressed so far.

Well, despite it still being a very new OS, they've already updated it EIGHT times! And still haven't fixed it. So no, I don't think they will.

Adding to the comment above this one, personally whenever I find myself in agreement with "the vast majority of the internet" it's a clear sign that I may need to reassess my views.

Granted, in this case as of right now I'm inclined to side with the title of the thread, but then again, I updated my phone to iOS 11.2 about ten hours ago, so time will tell how the battery life settles.

Just out of curiosity, what are you actually hoping to accomplish by adding this to your post? Do you believe antagonizing people will help bring about a fruitful discussion? Telling about your experience is one thing, it's something entirely different when the experience of others is written off right of the bat with something like that.

Not something I honestly tend to feel that strongly about, but I'm bored, and interested, so what the heck.

OP it sounds like your battery issue may be local to you. My battery performance hasn't changed since upgrading from iOS 10 on a 7+. Many things influence battery life, including not-so-obvious things like Wi-Fi / cellular signal strength. So not knowing what apps you use, what your background settings are, and how you use your phone, I can't offer any advice beyond what is already on the internet. But if 100% of the folks on iOS 11 were having battery performance issues then it would be a very big deal. They aren't. iOS is just a platform. However it does have built in services like e-mail that can repetitively authenticate and transfer data, weather widgets, etc. If your battery problem is not signal strength or a looping authentication, then start looking at your iOS accounts and 3rd party apps one by one. I'm not saying you've done anything wrong, but we've all got the same iOS versions and hardware and you're having a problem not everyone is. Kinda like we all have the same car and yours doesn't go fast, but it turns out your towing a boat and I'm not. Or more precisely, Facebook users complained about iOS battery performance for years.

Try using something like waze with a podcast streaming...on 10 it had me at 80 percent or so after. Few hours and now with 11on iPhone 8 it’s at 60 to 50 percent...something is wrong with this os.

What battery issues on which iPhone?

I have a 6S+ and a SE that I updated to 6S+ and both seem to run the same as they did on iOS 10 as they do on 11.1.2. I have a brand new battery in my 6S+ and it lasts about two days now as it did when it was brand new.

They sure weren't garbage design when they were selling them to everyone...they were the best thing since sliced bread! Then...when they want millions to "upgrade" they start trashing the very same iPhone.

Must like the ladies and their need to change to the designer's whim with new designs for the spring collection that everyone must have...and then the same thing is "so last year". What a scam but what was that about a fool and his/her money...
