Here is my predicted September 2024-March/April 2025 iPhone lineup (before the rumored release of iPhone SE 4th gen):

• SE 3rd gen
• 14
• 14 Plus
• 15
• 15 Plus
• all iPhone 16 models

The iPhone 12 mini and 13 mini were discontinued 1 year earlier compared to their respective base model counterparts. However, the plus models of the iPhone 6 up to iPhone 8 were discontinued together with the regular ones. One reason that I can think of about the mini iPhones being discontinued earlier is that if they weren't, they would've cannibalized some sales of iPhone SE 2/SE 3 since their prices would've gone down to $499 on their final year of production if Apple sold them for 3 years instead of 2.

Currently, the iPhone 14 Plus has the exact same price as the iPhone 15. If it will be included in Apple's lineup for late 2024-early 2025, there would be more plus-sized iPhones than usual including the Pro Max iPhone: 14 Plus, 15 Plus, 16 Plus, and 16 Pro Max.

What are your thoughts?

When the "new" SE4 is being released I'd say the whole 14 range will be discontinued along with SE3.
But since its projected to be released in 2025 I'd say the 14 range will live on when the 16 is being released. But as you mentioned, maybe the 14 plus will get axed.

Hello, thanks for your reply. Today, I just think of the possibility that since the non-pro Plus models have higher prices than their base model counterparts (unlike the mini iPhones), they might remain in the lineup since they won't cannibalize some sales of iPhone SE. But your list was also my former predicted late 2024 lineup and you have a point, if we're going to base it from what happened with the mini iPhones (production lifespan-wise).
