I've had the iPad for almost a week now though last night was the first time I took it out with me in lieu of my Macbook Pro. See, whenever I have plans to hang out with friends I usually grab my backpack with MBP inside and head out the door and last night was a bit different in the sense that this time around I carried a small InCase neoprene sleeve with iPad inside rather than my big InCase sling backpack with MBP inside.

I def. plan on the iPad replacing my MBP in terms of simple everyday browser/computer use. I'm sure like many of you here the iPad has made my mbp just sit at the desk while I use my iPad.

Quite honestly I didn't like the InCase sleeve I had with me last night. It was about 1am and I'm arriving at my friends house and am just holding an iPad with me in that sleeve which I think was just yelling, "Yo! iPad here!"

I'm in love with the Nedrelow book style case for the iPad though the price is a bit steep, and dont wanna wait 4-6 weeks till they start shipping them out.

I guess I just wanted to see if I wasn't alone in planning to have the iPad with me on an (almost) daily basis when i'm out and about, outside of my home.

Yep, I'm taking mine with me most of the time. I just have the Apple case right now, which I really like (despite lukewarm reviews). I like the rubberized feel of it, and being able to prop the iPad up with it is pretty nice. But yeah, I have an iMac, iPhone, Macbook, and now an iPad... and the latter will definitely be getting used the most, followed by my iPhone, then iMac. The Macbook will probably get used the least now, unfortunately.

I wouldn't take it out without a sleeve or case. Screen protector is not needed. Waste of money hence why apple banned them from their stores.

I have the apple case and it is perfect. I love it

My iPad comes with me every day. Currently using Apple's case but want a sleeve or something waterproof as well.

Did they really? That's crazyyy

I wouldn't think of going out the door with my iPad naked/bare either...

..I'm just not crazy about that InCase sleeve (10.2 inches) eh.

I will take it daily, but will always have a iPad condom on it. Gotta keep it safe.

I take it with me when I'm out for more than an hour or so with the Apple case in a messenger bag. The Apple case itself has been great to me. The iPad on it's own felt so fragile it was stressful to move it much at all. With the Apple case it feels more rugged and versatile due to the folding.

It's my daily driver if i'm working locally, if I will be gone overnight I still need to take my netbook for uploading and downloading attachments and multitasking. I bought a TPU skin to protect it, really makes holding the device alot easier but thinking about going back to the apple case so I have something covering the screen.

Use my iPad naked

- hold under the arm
- or in laptop bag

Bought apple case, had not opened it yet. The main use for it would be a video stand.

Its always out when im out.
I have the incase neopreme green case and have a full body invisible shield. I don't want to scratch the screen even if people think its stupid to do.

ive taken mine to work with me everyday since getting it, and have taken it out a few times to my brewpub. Greasy food + Beer + Oleophobic coating = win.

As far as case, I go naked when using it. I throw it into the middle of the Apple case when I put it in my bag, but when in use, I leave it out of the case, it detracts too much from the beauty of the device.

Yes - mine has quickly taken the place of my MacBook as the constant travel companion. That includes business meetings and pleasure.

As for a case - love the Apple case. Great balance of form and function.

Screen protector is not needed.

Except for the fingerprints that it picks up so easily. Once you get an anti-glare for your iPhone you can't go back. Power Support makes the best one and I'm waiting for their iPad one to ship.

I had a netbook case sitting around and use that until my Apple case arrives in a couple weeks. Works fine.

You should try your case. It just makes the iPad feel..... different. But in a good way. I have and use both the Apple Case and inCase sleeve. I like switching between the two as they feel like different experiences.

You just reminded me I have a old netbook case to that I could
carry my iPad in.
Completely forgot about that thing.
Turned out to be the perfect size and
the little bag is hand made.

Thanks for reminding me of my old bag

But for now carrying it around it goes naked and free.
No case for it so far but looking out for a good one or might
go with the apple case .
Once I stop wasting money on apps for a while to use that money for the case.

I have it with me at all times ;), I keep mine covered with the apple case to keep it protected and installed the Zagg Invisible Shield to protect the beautiful screen.

That sounds awesome. I would buy that right away. That's the thing with my black incase one, it doesn't protect against anything on the glass side of the iPad. I just picked this up...

And surpringsly I like it. Much better than the incase one.

That link is to exactly what the previous poster described - thick neoprene with an impact plastic insert wrapped in ballistic nylon. I've used them for years with my laptops and have one on the way for my iPad.
