I have a 6 hour flight on Friday morning and purchased a potable charger, I purchased one with a ac outlet which was super overpriced but I’m super invested in the apple ecosystem that having the charger to use for my AirPods Pro , Apple Watch and iPad Pro seems worth it.

Anyone else use one?

I presume you are talking about a portable power source as opposed to a standard power socket charger? Yes - they are useful for these sorts of situations. Wont the airline seat have an socket though that you could just plug a regular fast charger into?

Flying budget airline Toronto to Vancouver so I’m not exactly sure

When viewing your seat assignment using your airline's app (or website), you should see a power plug icon if that seat includes it. It might look like this:

I use a mophie portable charger cause i have so many devices when i travel. It’s always nice to have that piece of mind.

One of those small power banks made for smartphones?
no one of the larger ones that support PD. Anker is my go to brand for that and I daily a Powercore+ 26800 PD 45 watt. It will charge my iPad, MacBook Pro, and iPhone no problem and because there's a larger 60W version coming later this month its been on sale on amazon.

I have a 10,000 mAh portable charger but I’ve never used it on my iPads before.

I have a 26800 MAh RAVPower battery pack that I take if I think I will have some period before access to an outlet charge capability - works great. I have a smaller 10000 MAh pack that works with low-draw devices like earbuds - most units will detect the low power draw and shut off.

I “used” (pre-Covid) to fly international all the time. 350,000+ miles last year. I never killed my 12.9 iPad Pro battery on an international flight. Most international carriers have USB ports next to the entertainment screen (even in economy) for charging your phone. For me, I carry an iPhone lighting to USB-A and a lighting to USB-C on flights. In case the USB-C port on the plane doesn’t work I can change my phone via my iPad Pro. I’ve never had the need for anything more than that on 12 plus hour long flights to Asia.

WestJet has power on their jets, 120 V on the 737, USB on the 767.

(Canada only has two major airlines)

If the OP is flying Swoop or Flair Air (the budget airlines operating in Canada), there won't be power outlets supplied, at least on the planes I've flown on there hasn't been any.

Swoop has the same power as their WestJet owners:

Flair Air apparently doesn't.
