Hi all.

I just received my iPad Pro 12.9 with pencil. I was wondering if any of you use a screen protector when editing photos. If so, which ones do you recommend? My usage includes editing photos, note taking, drawing, movie editing. I don't want to scratch the iPad Pro screen so was thinking of getting a screen protector. On other threads here, members seem to like matte protectors, however then tend to take away some sharpness of the iPad screen. Should I go with a glass protector or one like this- a Tech Armor HD Clear Film Screen Protector:

Or just go without a screen protector?

Thanks for your advice!

I have been using an ipad pro form a few years now and dont use a screen protector. The keyboard cover protects it enough for me.

Tanagra (not really)
We’ve never had a screen protector on our iPads and they seem to hold up pretty well. One of them (original Air) does have a cracked screen, but that was due to heat build up from being left (by me) sitting on top of a running XboxOne, right over the fan exhaust. Otherwise, we’ve had no issues with the “unprotected” screens over the many years of iPad ownership. I guess it all depends on how careful you are with stuff.

Here's a chuckle for you. For a week now we have been wondering why the house is so cold and why the heating isn't coming on enough.

We have a wireless thermostat....

Yup, its been sat on top of a TV set top box which keeps it toasty and therefore the heating doesnt trigger.... doh!!!!

The iPad's glass screen is tough enough, so it should not be a problem using it without a screen protector. However, just like any type of glass, it's a good idea to remove the dust before moving a pen on its surface.

You sure you didn’t do it on purpose to reduce your bill? You know what they say about Scottish people! :)

LOL That's quite funny, Apple fanboy. Sounds like something my "redhead" wife would do to save some money
We’ve just had a new underfloor heating system fitted. Have a thermostat in every room. Anyway I read you could calibrate them. So I’ve ‘adjusted’ them all so they say it’s 3 degrees different to what it is!
Should help my Nikon camera fund!

I use mine for the same things. The only reason I saw a need for a protector was to make the screen matte, and less reflective so I could use it outside. But I don’t know if that would impact color fidelity. I do not use a protector right now.
