Hello,

Today I was talking to a friend of mine.
He has an 11 Pro Max he uses daily.
The phone has a screen protector and a case, but besides that, he also has an old 6s he also uses daily.
He says he uses the 6s for situations where he doesn’t want to take the Pro Max, like the gym and such.

I was thinking what a hassle to be constantly swapping the SIM card between phones, just tombáveis getting swet on the pro max.
But to each their own I guess.

So i was wondering if anyone else does this and uses more than one iPhone.

Cheers.

So I have an iPhone SE as my daily phone for work and most all activities. It’s lightweight and it fits very well in my pocket and I’m not worried about it because I only paid $200 for it.

I have an iPhone X that I’ve had since day one and has a little wear and tear on it and I bought a year prepaid TracFone Sim and put it in that phone and that’s the phone that I use on weekends if I don’t want everyone from work to be able to get a hold of me, or when my wife and I go on a date I take that phone so that no one can find me ha ha

Nope, that’s what the LTE Apple Watch was made for.
I use that and AirPods Pro whilst at the gym, on my runs, at the beach or generally anywhere that I don’t think my iPhone would be a good idea.
Valid point about the watch. I wear one while I am running. At the same time, I want to have a backup way to make contact with someone should I need to and the watch is unable.

I have an iPhone 6 with 70% battery life left staying always in my car and provides CarPlay. No cellular line, just connected to hotspot on my main iPhone 12 Pro.

The car is a 2017 Honda and since I have upgraded to iOS14 on my previous iPhone X, it has not been reliable at all. I had a few cases where I almost had an accident because the iPhone would crash or freeze when on Maps. Changed cables, even changed the phone - ends up the same. Oh it does the same on my brand new iPhone 12 Pro on a new cable..

Only way it worked perfectly was when this iPhone 6 was the one connected to CarPlay and that it was on iOS12. It doesn’t even glitch now. I am guessing the CarPlay unit in the car is optimized perhaps for older phones and older iOS idk..

My first gen SE is a tethered hotspot to my Mac mini which in turn shares that connection with my TimeCapsule over ethernet.

Luckily my outdoor runs are all a variation on the same route and known to have good signal. But if something were to happen, the Mrs knows which route I’m doing and my average time before I leave.
If she’s worried I’m taking too long she can bring the car and make sure I’m not in a heap on the side of the road somewhere 😂

I use an XS daily, but I have a 6S as a backup in case something goes wrong. I cannot go without a working phone. I had to use the 6S just one day since I bought the XS.

Recently (ok, in the last couple of months or so) picked up a space grey original SE as a backup to my 8 Plus. Mainly got it to travel with and/or when I go walking or jogging. But the more I use the thing, the more I like it. It's a great little phone that feels good in the hand. It is really nice to use at the drive though using Apple Pay. I can reach out and get it near the terminal without me worrying about it falling out of my hand. Only thing I don't like about it is typing on it. My 8 plus is so much nicer for that.

But other than that, it has gotten me to the point where I am considering getting the 12 Mini. I had planned to hold off for next year and/or the rumored release of the SE Plus. But the more I hear about the 12 Mini, the more I like it. Will wait for the full reviews though.

I may let my family have my ordered iphone 12s and stick with my iphone 11 pro max and my fold 2. Not sure yet. We shall see once we have them all.

I have. Like if I am going to the beach for a week or so I would switch to my iPhone SE and use that as I would not care as much if it were to be damaged but I don’t do this daily or weekly.

I don’t have a backup phone but I just put on a case when I know I may be in a bit of a rough place.

12 Mini will be my everyday carry.
12 will stay home and will be used as a phablet.
